Former Patriots quarterback Mac Jones seems to be living it up in the Sunshine State.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the former first-round pick — who was traded to the Jaguars in March after just three seasons in New England — shared a new photo that featured him dressed to the nines alongside girlfriend Sophie Scott.
“Peep Rose in the bottom corner,” Jones captioned the snap, referencing the couple’s adorable dog who made an unexpected cameo.
Scott, who has been dating Jones, 25, since 2019, replied, “New fam photo.”Shortly after Jones’ post went live, several Patriots fans flooded the comments to wish their ex-quarterback well.
“Wishing you the best of luck in Jacksonville!! still rooting for you as a Pats fan!” one user commented while another posted, “We failed you, Mac. just know New England will always be rooting for you.”
The 15th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Jones had a promising rookie year in New England, throwing for 3,801 yards, 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions en route to a Pro Bowl nod and playoff berth.
Jones played his first season under offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who left in January 2022 for the Raiders coaching job, leaving Matt Patricia and Joe Judge, the Patriots’ former defensive and special teams coordinators, respectively, the keys to the offense for 2022.
The experiment often combusted on game days, with Jones’ frustrations frequently boiling over on the sidelines as his production dipped in year two (2,997 yards, 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 14 games).

Jones was benched midway through games due to shaky play and ultimately lost the starting role to Bailey Zappe, a 2022 fourth-round pick.
Head coach Bill Belichick parted ways with the organization in January after 24 years, with Jerod Mayo, a former linebacker-turned-coach, named his successor.
Jones, a Jacksonville native, was soon traded to the Jaguars for a sixth-round pick.
The “mutual parting of ways was the best decision” for Jones and the Patriots, the quarterback said at his introductory press conference for the Jaguars in March.
“I have all the respect in the world for those guys up there, they’re my first team, drafted me in the first round, can’t thank them enough,” Jones added.
Now serving as Trevor Lawrence’s backup, Jaguars coach Doug Pederson lauded Jones as the “ultimate pro” on Tuesday, noting how a change of scenery can have a positive impact.
“I think a change of scenery sometimes is good for players, for coaches,” Pederson said, according to Pro Football Talk. “For him to get back here around family and friends has been good for him. I think he’s embraced it since he’s been here.”
