What Is 2-2-2 Method? The Viral Weight Loss Trend Everyone Is Talking About

In today's era of sensationalized before-and-after photos and appealing transformation testimonials, the internet is flooded with quick, easy weight loss methods.

From sophisticated diet programs and training schedules to varied fitness routines, let's take a look at another weight-loss trend: the 2-2-2 approach.

The 2-2-2 weight-loss method, which is said to be beneficial to metabolism, incorporates a variety of techniques such as keto, intermittent fasting, carbohydrate loading, and HIIT workouts.

According to the New York Post, the 2-2-2 approach consists of drinking two large bottles of water, eating two portions of fruits and vegetables, and taking two walks as part of a regular regimen.

Jenna Rizzo, a Georgia-based health coach, stated that the new viral technique does not include any specific amount of water, fruit, or veggies

activity level, weather, and overall health. She also emphasized how the two portions of fruits and vegetables enrich one's diet.

"And if you have time to workout on top of that and want to go for it, those will be our daily minimums.

"Your skin will be clearer, you will have more energy, you will sleep better, and you will most likely have lost a few pounds," she continued.

The 2-2-2 approach, developed by Ian K. Smith, MD, author of The Met Flex Diet: Burn Better Fuel, Burn More Fat, is a variation on the Met Flex Diet weight loss regimen.

Dr. Smith defines the three '2s' as various sorts of meals (fatty and carb-heavy), two non-food aspects

According to the approach, the first week of the six-week regimen consists of 14:10 intermittent fasting, followed by 5:2 intermittent fasting in week two.
