korean sausage bread

Korean Sausage Bread. You can find it at every Korean bakery! When I can't decide what to have, I usually go to Paris Baguette (Korea's largest bakery chain).

Either this or Soboro Bread! I really enjoy sausage bread because it is far more filling than any other item at a bakery! For some reason, I'm always hungry when I go to a bakery.

Ingredients

And if you start eating the more fancy-looking loaves, you'll have nothing left to take home! So I normally go for this Sausage Bread,

but then I realized that ready-made doughs are not sold in Korea. You know, those Pillsbury dough cans that pop when opened.

There's nothing like that here. So today, we'll start from scratch. I'll leave you with a couple cooking notes:

Make sure to spend enough time kneading and proving the dough. It's tempting to save time and go to the next stage, but don't! To assist you, I recommend utilizing the timer on your iPhone.

When proving your dough, make sure your oven is heated enough. The easiest method is to boil water in a pot and place it on the lower rack of your oven. Close the door and let it steam up inside.

Don't worry if you make a mistake while cutting the sausage. It's a little tough at first, but you'll get the hang of it by the third or fourth sausage.
