Jelly Roll shows off 70-pound weight loss at ACM Award

Training for a 5K race has played a significant role in Jelly Roll's weight loss. After finishing the Two Bears race, he told Entertainment Tonight that he had shed "50 to 70 pounds." I had to double-check again because there was so much weight."

Jelly Roll admitted that the 3.1-mile race was more difficult than he had expected. "I feel fantastic, guy. I'm a little fatigued," he remarked, laughing. "A little bit harder than I thought it was, but it's awesome, man."

He noted that the best part of the 5K was seeing other individuals finish the race, some of whom established personal records.

"I think the coolest thing is how many people stopped to tell us that they were motivated by us, other big guys," he stated. "It was incredibly nice to see such an eclectic variety of folks. "There was a man running in a bear suit."

In mid-April, while still training, he told People that he was "doing 2 to 3 miles per day, four to six days a week." Every day, I spend 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna followed by six minutes in the cold plunge. I'm eating healthily right now."

"I've been really kicking a--, man," he explained. "I'm probably down 70-something pounds."

"I feel really good," he said. "I was thinking, I plan to lose another 100, 100-and-something pounds. If I feel this fantastic down this weight, I can only think how I'll feel when I go on tour.
