Trump cashes in on historic mug shot with ‘never surrender’ merch as last co-defendants booked at jail: Live

Trump is already attempting to profit off his historic mug image by encouraging followers to pay $34 for a t-shirt

features his arrest photo and the motto "never surrender"—this despite the fact that he has just surrendered to the authorities.

His campaign sent out an email promoting the merchandise less than two hours after his detention on Thursday.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr. Trump provided his scowling mug shot and a link to his campaign website.

This was his first comeback to the social media since he was banned following the January 6 Capitol incident.

After submitting to police, Mr. Trump was detained and released from Atlanta's

Fulton County Jail on 13 counts related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.

It has never been necessary to take a mug photograph of a sitting or past president prior to his booking photo.
