Country music superstar Tim McGraw is expanding his acting skills with a new drama series on Netflix.
Variety has learnt that McGraw will feature in the untitled series, which takes place in the world of competitive bull riding
According to the series' official description, it follows "a megastar champion (McGraw) facing a life-or-death crossroads when confronted by
the arrival of a fearless young rider whose existence challenges his ways and unearths secrets that force him to reckon with his past."
The series, produced by Skydance Television, was announced during Netflix's upfront presentation to marketers in New York on Wednesday.
Brandon Camp ("Love & Gelato," "Benji") is the series' creator, writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner,
while Taylor Elmore ("Justified," "Limitless") serves as co-showrunner and executive producer.
McGraw will executive produce alongside Tim Staples, Brian Kaplan, and Joel Bergvall under the Down Home production company.
Skydance Television's executive producers are David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell.
