'The Death of Slim Shady' by Eminem: All the Information We Have So Far

Back again, Shady. Eminem is working on his summer album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).

The Detroit icon has dropped Easter eggs and hints regarding the project, but features and a release date remain unknown.

After supporting his hometown Detroit Lions at the NFL Draft in April, Eminem revealed the initiative.

The album was announced in an Unsolved Mysteries episode where Em dies searching for “who killed Slim Shady?”

The Death Of Slim Shady is Eminem's 12th studio album and first since 2020's Music to Be Murdered By, which opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for his 10th straight lead.

Em's 2018 Kamikaze album, which topped the charts, was released without warning. The lead single, if there is one, will be his first release of 2024 as he has been quiet musically.

As expected, Dr. Dre confirmed that Eminem had an album ready in his first late-night TV appearance in 30 years in March.

Eminem wants summer to heat up. Slim said the record will be out in “summer 2024.” Em has often portrayed Slim Shady, and this album seems to be about his death.

The Detroit Murder Files crime program teaser preceded Eminem's release date announcement and features 50 Cent. “He’s a pyschopath,” 50 adds in the tape. Em’s 1999 “My Name Is” single soundtracks it.

The Dr. Dre-produced song reached No. 36 on the Hot 100 and won Grammys for best rap solo performance.
