Samsung announced last week that Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 reservations might save purchasers up to $1,500. That sounds too good to be true, right? What it looks like now is clearer.
Samsung's website lets you reserve a Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, Watch 7, or Watch Ultra for free right now. Pre-ordering with that reservation gets you a $50 credit and additional advantages.
Samsung teased that Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 pre-orders will save up to $1,500, a hefty promise.
The breakdown is explained in a Samsung email to customers.
It begins with the $50 reserve credit, available until July 10. Reservations are free and enroll you into a $5,000 sweepstakes, regardless of whether you pre-order a gadget.
Samsung will likely reinstate its doubled storage offer. Any model you buy will have twice the storage. Samsung claims savings of $240. A complimentary year of Samsung Care+, valued up to $156 after its price bump, is also returning.
About $446 thus far. Trade-in offers account for the remaining “up to $1,500 savings”.
Samsung offers up to $1,200 in trade-in value (presumably for the Fold 6). This may just apply to current releases like Fold 5 and Galaxy S24 Ultra, but it's the highest since 2022 Galaxy Z Fold 3 advertising.
The trade-in and reserve credit are the only true savings on the foldable, but that might exceed $1,500 in "savings." Everything else is more perks than savings. Still, after two years of average offers, this sounds excellent.
