Michael Jordan's response to Reggie Miller saying Dream Team II was better than Dream Team: "We could beat them right now"

Michael Jordan never lost faith in his ability to shoot hoops, not even in his baseball retirement.

Even though Mike was hitting.188 and making 10 mistakes for the Birmingham Barons, a Double-A team, he continued to disparage his NBA rivals.

The talk of basketball that year was which version of Team USA was superior, since USA Basketball put together another Dream Team for the FIBA World Championships.

Naturally, '94 squad member Reggie Miller chose his team. Jordan was forced to respond after learning of his rival's remarks.

Most people agree that the first Dream Team was the greatest basketball team ever put together.

Their only loss in international play was a 32-point victory over Croatia in the championship game. Overall, they defeated their opponents by an average margin of 43.8 points and went undefeated.

Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Chris Mullin, and Christian Laettner were among the other players on the 1992 team besides Jordan.

Ewing led the team in rebounds with 5.3 per game, while Barkley led the team in scoring with 18.0 points per game. Pippen, meanwhile, averaged a team-high 5.9 assists per game.
