Kevin Costner finally comes clean about his exit from 'Yellowstone'

Kevin Costner has put an end to a flurry of speculation by assuaging supporters' concerns about his dedication to Yellowstone.   

The 69-year-old actor recently spoke with Deadline,   

disproving assertions made by series creator Taylor Sheridan that Costner did not want to return for the second half of season five because he was busy with his own project, Horizon: An American Saga.   

The star of Waterworld threw producers for a loop when she said they couldn't move on with the final season since they didn't have a script   

In an interview with the publication, Costner said,    

You've been reading one version [of this behind-the-scenes drama] for a year and a half.   

In order to meet them on time for 5B, I had to leave my movie. I found it difficult because I departed precisely when they wanted me to.
