Ja Morant Reportedly Makes Big Decision

Earlier this month, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski claimed that Memphis Grizzlies player Ja Morant had split ties with his longtime agent, Jim Tanner.

Morant is one of the league's greatest rising superstars, so whomever signed him as a client was making a significant investment.

Morant will now join with Mike Miller's agency, LIFT Sports, according to an announcement made Thursday.

Morant was the second choice in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Murray State and has established himself as one of the league's elite guards.

This season, he missed the first 25 games due to suspension and was also injured, thus he only played nine games.

Nonetheless, the 24-year-old was coming off a strong 2022-23 season in which he averaged 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while

shooting 46.6% from the field and 30.7% from three-point range in 61 games. The Grizzlies are a rising squad that has made the NBA playoffs three years in a row.

However, due to their injuries this year, they finished as the 13th seed in the Western Conference, with a 27-55 record, and therefore missed the 2024 NBA playoffs.
