Country music's A-listers will return to Frisco for the 59th ACM Awards, "country music’s party of the year."

Luke Combs led with eight nominations, including his fifth straight Entertainer of the Year nod, which he has yet to win.

But this could be his year. Combs' chart-topping cover of Tracey Chapman's “Fast Car” earned Chapman a historic CMA Song of the Year last year.

Combs and Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen have six nominations each, while Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, and Lainey Wilson have five.

Former juvenile delinquent Jelly Roll, who yelled out kids in juvenile detention in his passionate CMT categories acceptance speech, is nominated for four categories.

His Entertainer of the Year nomination places him in an elite group of first-time contenders for the night's greatest prize.

Billy Ray Cyrus was the latest to do this in 1992, the year he became famous for “Achy Breaky Heart.”

He lost to Garth Brooks and Jelly may lose to Combs. Being nominated is an honor, they say.

Randy Travis uses AI to release new songs after a stroke.
